From the secure carpark, you will walk over wetlands featuring flax and rushes with the sound of the river close by and after a short climb, making the 1 kilometer walk enjoyable and not too taxing, you will start to catch glimpses of your destination on the final uphill approach.

This getaway has all the facilities you require including a fabulous shower, flush toilet, crisp linen, cooking and eating equipment including a gas hob and barbeque, tea coffee and milk; as well as an assortment of games, binoculars, local reference books and a whole lot of nothing to do!

You can either bring your own supplies or pre­order a dinner and breakfast food package when you make your reservation. Made from fresh local ingredients the dinner menu includes a scrumptious platter of local cheeses, pâté, relishes and crackers with seasonal fruit. Plus the chef’s selection of lamb, beef or chicken (ready for you to cook on either the cooktop or barbecue) accompanied with a fresh seasonal salad and gourmet potatoes and something delightfully sweet to finish.

Breakfast is organic muesli with yoghurt, a berry compote and croissants with butter & jam. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available

Not suitable for those with mobility challenges (sorry). Glass, when wet, is slippery and unsafe so we provide facilities for your wet shoes and jackets.

While you can walk back out to stock up on supplies you’ll find that the desire to stay put and relax is overwhelming! So please ensure you have enough food and drink to totally indulge the isolation.

Another cabin close by (ten minute walk away) can accommodate 2 people as well in case you are travelling with another couple.  Both cabins are completely private from each other.
