Just an hour north of Wellington, with stunning views of Kāpiti Island, the cabin sits in a quiet spot on a beautiful grapevine nursery high above the Kāpiti Coast.

Nestled beside olive trees and overlooking the ocean to Kāpiti Island, it is the perfect setting for you to relax in privacy, tranquility and enjoy the spectacular sunsets. Wake in the morning to the sunshine twinkling on the sea and the beautiful chorus of birdsong.

Your journey to rest and relaxation starts with a scenic drive up the Kāpiti Coast, before turning off the expressway for a short journey through a lovely country lane as you make your way to the carpark.

At the carpark, leave your large luggage items in your locked car (it will be safe) then follow the 450m walking track as it gently heads down and up the gully, where you’ll pass by native rātā, kowhai and pohutukawa trees on your short walk to the cabin.

The cabin has all the facilities you require including a fabulous shower, flush toilet, crisp linen, cooking and eating equipment including a gas hob and barbecue, tea, coffee and milk; as well as an assortment of games, local reference books, a telescope and a whole lot of nothing to do!

So sit back, relax in the luxury camp chairs out on the deck, or laze about in the super comfortable bed and watch nature put on a show.

The dinner & breakfast hamper contains delicious fresh food grown, harvested, made and reared in the Kāpiti region. You’ll start the evening fare with a scrumptious platter of cheeses, bread or crackers, homemade dips and seasonal fruit. For the main course enjoy the chef’s selection of chicken, steak or lamb (ready for you to cook on either the gas cooktop or BBQ) accompanied with gourmet potatoes and seasonal vegetables or fresh salad.
